StreetDots is calling for street food businesses to sign up to its ‘Trade Smart’ technology that enables users to book pitches for stalls, trucks and gazebos in a matter of seconds. Find, book, trade.
The latest version of the technology released this week lets traders browse more than 70 StreetDots locations onto which they can book for a day (or day part) at a time using a smartphone app or a new desktop portal.
StreetDots sites or ‘dots’ are found in high footfall office locations, business parks, transport hubs and public spaces. The majority are in London and the South East, but the business is expanding rapidly in the North of England, particularly Manchester, where it has pitches in Churchgate & Lee House and Manchester Fort, with more on the way.
StreetDots was created by street food trader Atholl Milton and designer Darren Callcott to liberate street food businesses from time consuming admin involved in booking a pitch.
StreetDots co-founder Darren Callcott said:
“Almost every business sector you can think of has been improved by technology, and we wanted to do the same for street food. Our mission is to liberate traders from form filling and let them sell when and where suits them.”
“Since we opened our first dot in 2014, the StreetDots network has helped over 500 street food traders tour their trucks, carts and stalls, collecting new customers on the way!”
Signing up to the StreetDots platform is free, traders just have to complete a profile and upload their compliance documents. Once approved, they can book onto StreetDots sites for a day at a time, or just a morning, lunchtime or afternoon. Let’s us take care of the admin so you can get on and do what you do best – sell.
