Award-Winning West Country Producer Adds Foodservice Lines
Continuing to deliver full flavoured products to the hospitality sector, awarding-winning food business The Bay Tree has introduced two new foodservice lines for spring. Sure to add a little spice to the commercial kitchen, the latest products are Sweet Garlic Pickle and Red Chilli Jam.
Established in 1994 by Emma Macdonald, the company now offers 25 of their bestselling condiments and preserves in catering-sized tubs – set to help chef’s deliver exceptional meals, quickly and easily, time and time again.
Sweet Garlic Pickle
This 2015 Great Taste Award winning pickle is The Bay Tree’s take on a traditional Indian accompaniment. The distinctive flavours of garlic and cumin combine to create this sweet, punchy preserve. The perfect pairing for a curry and a poppadum; or use as a sensational marinade for slow-roasted lamb with rosemary.
Chef’s Top Tip – Add two tablespoons of Sweet Garlic Pickle for a spicy addition to your sausage-meat stuffing.

Red Chilli Jam
The taste-bud tingling flavours of red chilli and red pepper are harnessed to deliver this chilli jam. A fiery combination of sweet and sticky, it is an extremely versatile condiment. For a sensational dip, blend with cream cheese or Greek yoghurt. Looking to the main course, mix into a gravy or sauce to create a pork or chicken dish with a truly unique flavour. Also an essential accompaniment – ideal for enhancing smoked salmon, cold meats and soft cheeses.
Chef’s Top Tip – With just a splash of water, Red Chilli Jam can be transformed into a marinade for meat, poultry and seafood.
