Award-winning Midlands burger brand Libertine Burger has launched two special creations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Libertine Burger, which has restaurants in Leamington Spa and Rugby and also serves up burgers at some of the UK’s top festivals, has created a jubilee-themed burger to join in the nation’s celebration of the Queen’s 70 years on the throne, along with a special shake inspired by English classics.
Libertine’s new #70 is its trademark buttermilk fried chicken breast, topped with Libertine curry dust, Coronation mayo, grape chutney, pickled cucumber, American cheese and lettuce.
It is available in Libertine’s restaurants in the run-up to the Jubilee, along with a brand new English tea and Custard Cream shake.
Libertine’s Group Head Chef Tom Robinson said: “We love any opportunity to create something new, so the Jubilee is the perfect chance to take a British classic – Coronation Chicken – and use it to create a burger that really stands out from the crowd.
“We didn’t want to stop there and decided to give people the chance to enjoy a brew and biscuit – but in milkshake form.
“We look forward to seeing everyone down at Libertine to join in our Jubilee celebrations.”
A recent winner of the National Burger Awards and finalist in the British Street Food awards and Street Food Championships, Libertine serves up some of the best burgers in the UK.
The award-winning brand is also looking ahead to Father’s Day, offering dads the chance to eat for free on Sunday, 19th June.
Any father who visits either the Leamington or Rugby restaurant on the day itself will get a free burger if they buy a side and a drink.
Libertine’s DIY burger kits and its custom-made merchandise also make great Father’s Day gifts – and they’re offering free delivery for boxes ordered for that weekend.
The DIY kits, which are delivered nationwide on Fridays, come with everything you need to cook up a feast for the whole family, serving four people.
Their Libertine #007 – which won the National Burger Awards – comes with their signature beef patties, seeded brioche buns, American cheese, house chilli, chimichurri, ketchup, lettuce and pickles (£30).
Dads who like a bit of spice should try the Libertine #005 kit which comes with crispy smoky bacon, deep-fried pickles and hot sauce (£30).
There’s even a kit for vegan dads, the Libertine #111, which includes their signature plant-based patties, plant-based brioche, vegan cheese, ketchup, French mustard and pickles (£23).
DIY sides include Chilli Cheese Tater Tots, Truffle & Parmesan Tater Tots and Dirty Tater Tots (all £9).
