Surrey street food explosion; free kids cookery class & home wine tastings headline hot new Surrey show
There is a food revolution-taking place on the streets of Britain. If you know were to look you will find some of the most exciting and innovative food and drink being served from tuk tuk’s, camper vans, caravans and carts. 2013 was the year of street food, with small markets popping up all over Britain. These small culinary delights are exciting palates across the country and Oxted will be no exception.
The inaugural Oxted Food and Drink Festival will be coming to Master Park, Oxted on 21st June 2014.
This epicurean adventure will take you on a sampling journey through the streets, offering some of the finest street food stalls including Bang Wok’s tastiest thai street food served from a tuk tuk, Sausalicious’ designer hotdogs for the Enlightened; Market Grill’s incredible surf and turf wraps delivered from a vintage airstream bus. Wedding Trikes and Cocktail Campers will add an element of fun to the occasion providing first class cocktail for the gown ups and ice cream for the children from their purpose built camper van, don’t worry we have something for the sophisticated palate in Peiroth’s who organise home wine tastings. They have been around for over 300 years and have built a reputation on providing quality wines.
The Oxted Food and Drink Festival is for the whole family so why not bring the children with you for a free cookery lesson with Cookies kitchen kids cookery school and enter the colouring competition to win a prize, children only! Enjoy a gourmet coffee from Moonshot served by their very own barista, while your children enjoy the play tent.
