Biopac has designed a new range of cutlery made from renewable
cornstarch which can be disposed of by industrial composting.
Environmental packaging specialist, Biopac, has introduced a new range of cutlery to their product portfolio, aimed at catering outlets who want to demonstrate their commitment to the environment.
The latest edition is an elegant, fully compostable range of cutlery produced from renewable cornstarch (CPLA) which is heat resistant up to 85 degrees. The range includes knives, forks, dessert spoons and teaspoons, all embossed with a compostable message.
Mark Brigden, Technical Director at Biopac said, “Our new range of cutlery follows the ‘I am not a plastic cup’ which is also made from renewable cornstarch. Now we are able to produce disposable items from this material, we wanted to be able to roll this out into other product ranges.”
The cutlery is ideal for mobile caterers and street food traders who want to demonstrate their commitment to the environment.
